Days Thursday/Friday Off, Swing Monday/Tuesday Off, Grave Monday/Tuesday Off

  

Responsibilities:

  • Check climate control, lights and alarm clock; make adjustments to correct irregularities; ensure T.V. remote control is working; report broken items to the Main Linen Room Attendant;
  • Ensure the compendium binder is up to date; draw shears;
  • Check room supplies and replace items; empty trash containers; contact Room Service to remove any dishes;
  • Strip and inspect beds and load soiled linen on cart; change bed pads if soiled and turn mattresses if worn in areas;
  • Make bed according to the hotel standards including roll-a-way beds before removing;
  • Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors and shower walls;
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and clean vents;
  • Vacuum carpets, including moving furniture; report stains to the Housekeeping department;
  • Clean/scrub and dry wash basins, fixtures, pipes under basins, shower heads, tiles, bathtub and toilets; replace toilet rolls and tissues;
  • Sweep and wash bathroom floors;
  • Replace soiled linens and provide supply of laundry bags and slips;
  • Sign in and out for keys per Resort procedures and devices on issue sheets;
  • Report and deliver items found to the Supervisor;
  • Lock and secure doors when leaving the room to ensure the safety and security of guests and their belongings. Exercise confidentiality regarding guest personal information;
  • Clean and verify status of rooms in a priority sequence, note discrepancies;
  • Comply with Hotel Policies and Procedures and perform other tasks as assigned by management;
  • Maintain a professional appearance as per company grooming policy;
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette at all times;
  • Directly or indirectly provide for superior customer service and promote excellent employee relations with co-workers;
  • Report room deficiencies to Supervisor.
  • Clean Public Areas, deliver guest requested items to rooms and deliver linen as required;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Must provide a clean criminal history certificate on an annual basis;
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic;
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Good time management skills; must have the ability to multi-task in a busy, fast paced work environment;
  • Ability to push a pull a cart (50lbs) safely and have the ability to maneuver in all directions;
  • Ability to bend to floor level and demonstrate ability to reach and twist and stretch;                                    
  • Ability to safely bend at waist using proper knee bending and lifting techniques;
  • Ability to pull the sofa bed pull out frame up and out using knee bending techniques and upper body strength and demonstrate ability to push and replace the bed frame safely;
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move housekeeping supplies and equipment up to 50lbs;
  • Must be able to perform essential duties that require frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and back to grip, carry, lift and bend;
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods (regular work shift 8 hours);
  • Ability to use proper Personal Protective Equipment and cleaning supplies as per departmental standard operation procedures

 

Hotel Houseperson

Responsibilities:

 

DAY SHIFT

  • Regularly, throughout shift, guest and employee restrooms are cleaned, sanitized and supplied
  • Dust, tidy and vacuum public areas and back of house areas
  • Dust and polish furniture, lamps, planters and fixtures in the main floor areas
  • Clean glass surfaces and sweep lobby entrance both inside and out
  • Clean and tidy employee locker rooms
  • Ensure ash urns are emptied or sifted; empty and dispose of garbage in lobby area
  • Comply with Casino Rama policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

SWING SHIFT

  • Empty and dispose of garbage in lobby area, administrative offices
  • Supply guests with loan items including cribs and roll-aways and retrieve items due to be returned
  • Restock Room Attendant baskets and refill cleaning bottles
  • Provide turndown service to guestrooms according to Hotel standards
  • Transport clean linens to the guest floor linen rooms

OVERNIGHT SHIFT

  • Respond to any emergency cleaning required anywhere in the Hotel
  • If necessary, assist guest with luggage service using correct and safe baggage handling procedures
  • Deliver message per “At Your Service” and give wakeup calls in person if the guest does not answer the phone
  • Accept guest laundry and deliver it to the front desk for it to be sent out
  • Organize and maintain main Housekeeping office as well as maid’s closets if necessary
  • In the event of an alarm, assist the Fire Response Team as instructed
  • Carry out and complete special projects as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to provide a clean criminal history certificate on an annual basis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have good physical stamina
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays

 

 

Environmental Services Attendant

  • Clean and keep all public and non-public areas in an orderly and attractive manner;
  • Work with a scheduled system of assigned duties;
  • Ensure that all products and equipment are carefully accounted for and properly stored in a safe and secure; notify supervisor of low supplies;
  • Complete accurate inspection reports on equipment and report malfunctions;
  • Remain current and familiar with all cleaning chemicals and their uses;
  • Maintain a professional appearance as per company grooming policy;
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette at all times;
  • Directly or indirectly provide for superior customer service and promote excellent employee relations with co-workers;

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to patron issues in a timely manner and provide resolution to issues, while providing superior customer service.
  • Promote excellent employee relations through respect, courtesy, tact and friendliness.
  • Clean and maintain all assigned areas, public and non-public in an effective, efficient, safe manner.
  • Ensure all cleaning products are stored in the designated area and in a safe and secure environment.
  • All equipment is operated, cleaned and maintained according to Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports on all equipment used.
  • WHMIS: must be familiar with and follow all WHMIS standards and accurately complete an annual WHMIS test.
  • Responsible Gaming: must be familiar with all Responsible Gaming regulations and able to identify and report “Red Flag Behaviours” and accurately complete an annual Responsible Gaming test.
  • Accurately follow an SOP (standard operating procedure) and operation of equipment required for each job assignment and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain Fall Arrest/Aerial Lift license and be recertified every three years. (Casino Rama to provide training).
  • Able to work outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat, extreme cold with exposure to insects.
  • Must be prepared to complete work assignments/tasks as scheduled and meet deadlines as required.
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with industrial floor cleaning equipment and able to push and lift heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work on a scissor lift at elevated heights of nineteen feet or more.
  • Ability to safely operate an outdoor utility vehicle in all types of weather.
  • Ability to work independently and/or cohesively as part of a team and inspire, foster commitment and pride while promoting good employee relations with co-workers.
  • Committed to learning, be competent and maintain knowledge of cleaning supplies, floor care equipment and other motorized equipment, including proper and safe storage of such.
  • Ability to safely work with specialized cleaning chemicals, such as strippers, waxes, sealing agents, etc.
  • Able to perform duties continuously throughout a shift and multiple times per week (example: dusting slot machines, washing floors).
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate accountability and follow through on commitments.
  • Good physical stamina and able to continuously perform heavy lifting, bending stretching.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Able to work in a “smoking” environment while cleaning outdoor Smoke Shelters.
  • Previous similar experience is an asset.
