The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor oversees the effective operations of the overall interior and exterior cleanliness, and provides leadership to engage, motivate and develop all C.R.E.W. members of the EVS team.  This role ensures the efficient operation and superior delivery of guest services while operating within company and department policies and procedures within a unionized environment.


Reporting to the Manager of EVS, the incumbent strives to exceed our high cleaning standards by providing effective leadership to a talented team that includes Leads, EVS Attendants, Housepersons, Coat Room Attendants and Wardrobe Attendants.  




  • Assist with the daily operation of the Environmental Services Department which includes identifying labour issues, tracking attendance and assigning duties.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate projects, daily operations and cleaning schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure standards of cleanliness are maintained.
  • Ensures policies, procedures and the Collective Agreement are adhered to.
  • Takes proactive measures and promotes a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manages performance by providing ongoing feedback to employees through coaching and 1:1 meetings using the company employee management system. 
  • Trains, coaches and recognizes employees, promoting employee engagement.
  • Directly provide exceptional customer service and promote excellent employee relations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Possesses a post secondary education in hospitality, business or a related field coupled with at least one year of leadership experience with a large work unit.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Computer skills:  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively deal with difficult situations.
  • Ability to conduct all administrative duties and daily activities with complete confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and maintain poise under pressure.


Hours of Work:

Although this position will be assigned a regular shift, flexibility is required to work other shifts.  The regular schedule will include weekends and long weekends.

  • Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude to ensure Casino Rama continuously provides a safe entertainment destination for patrons and co-workers.
